Modern sport is an achievement industry that creates conditions for exploitation of human bodies in the name of spectacle. Big competitions like the Olympic Games may become fateful, psychologically and physiologically traumatic experiences for athletes, whereas for the audience these are another content among other entertaining forms of popular culture. The image of modern amateur sports practices such as fitness, pilates, crossfit, stretching, etc. contains a component of pleasure, yet is largely focused on professionalism, trim bodies, perfect poses, determined and focused faces.

Worldwide Pleasure Sports Championship is a campaign for our Summer 2022 collection that imagines how a tournament that aims for participants to enjoy sporting practices, regardless of performance or great achievements would look like. WPSC organizers believe sport is an excellent way to explore (not to exploit!) one's body, make connections, and discover what pleasure is all about.
